Laal Singh Chaddha, the official Hindi adaptation of the classic Hollywood film Forrest Gump, has sadly emerged as one of the biggest flops of 2022.
The Aamir Khan starrer was produced on a lavish budget of ₹180 crores by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Studios. However, it has posted deeply disappointing box office numbers so far.
As of September 2022, the total worldwide gross collection of Laal Singh Chaddha stands at just ₹129.64 crores, as per media reports. This is far below the recovery mark for such a high budget film.
Out of the total earnings, the India nett box office contribution is a mere ₹58.73 crores which is an outright disaster. The rest ₹70.91 crores came from international markets, but even that was not enough to salvage the film commercially.
