Ram Setu – A Major Box Office Flop Despite Akshay Kumar’s Star Power

For a film made on a budget of ₹150 crores, this is an extremely poor performance and nowhere near the recovery mark. The film has bombed despite releasing around the profitable Diwali period.
Even the star power of Akshay Kumar who has delivered some of the biggest hits of Hindi cinema could not attract audiences to theatres for Ram Setu.
The action-adventure drama received mostly negative reviews from critics which affected its collections after a decent start. Weak word-of-mouth and lack of a compelling storyline are being seen as factors for its failure.
With such massive losses against its budget, Ram Setu has undoubtedly emerged as one of the biggest flops of 2022. The film sank without a trace after the Diwali holidays.
