Mumbai, August 12 – In a triumphant run at the overseas box office, Karan Johar’s romantic family drama “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani,” starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, has crossed the 100 crores mark. Since its debut on July 28, the movie has been a huge blockbuster, with total international earnings reaching approximately 104 crores ($12.5 million), including 44 crores ($5.3 million) in the second week alone.

The film’s overseas earnings dropped just around 23% from the opening frame, which is an excellent hold. North America is leading the international pack for “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani” (RARKPK or RRKPK) with approx. 49 crores ($5.9 million), followed by Gulf countries with 21.60 crores ($2.60 million), and the United Kingdom with 12.50 crores ($1.5 million) in just two weeks. The rest of the overseas part contributed approx. 21 crores ($2.50 million).
RRKPK’s worldwide gross collection through the second Thursday reached approximately 245 crores, crossing the 250 crores gross mark on its third Friday after a strong hold all across, despite the intense competition. It’s now eyeing a finish over 300 crores worldwide, which will make it the third outright Bollywood movie of the year to achieve this feat.

“Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” translated as “Rocky and Rani’s Love Story,” is a Hindi-language romantic comedy family drama film that tells the story of a couple with contrasting personalities. They decide to live with each other’s families for three months before getting married, leading to a series of entertaining events. The film boasts a supporting cast that includes Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Aamir Bashir, and Kshitee Jog.
